Thanksgiving day wrap up!!

Thanksgiving day is coming to an end! What a great day we had! We caught up on much needed sleep, hung Christmas lights and enjoyed food and fellowship. On the menu we had Cornish Game hen, Dressing, Sweet potatoes topped with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, corn and salad. After dinner we played Monopoly. Grandpa stayed until around ten and then went home. We finally folded the game at about 11:30. Mom and Dad decided the kids won. Caleb had four house on Boardwalk and Park Place. Addy and Kaity had four houses on the green spaces.

The kids are singing in a children's choir at church. They are all have a great time!

Troop Inspection!

A dear friend of our family, Mr. George, came to speak to the kids today. He served state side in wwii. He had a lot of interesting stories and gear to share with us. It was certainly a blessing to our group for him to come and speak!

Shakespeare

Today was our last day of GRACE. One of Caleb's classes was a study of Shakespeare. As a final project their class acted out an abridged version of Romeo and Juliet. Caleb volunteered for the part of Romeo. The first pic is the balcony scene. The second is the wedding, and the third is when Romeo kills himself after mistakenly thinking Juliet was dead.

What Kids Say #2!

Kaity had a dentist appointment today to fill two cavities in her teeth. She just came up to me and said.."Dr. Lee wants me to have stars on my teeth so I am beautiful." Dr. Lee would be her dentist.

Yesterday after we had put the kids in bed, Addy was struggling with being very tired and emotional. She was yelling from her room that she wanted to talk to us, and James told her she needed to be quiet or he would shut her door! She responded to him... I just need to be wrapped in love!

Ha ha! I am only kidding! We were doing school down stairs and came up for a break to find the cat on the stove. After the picture we did remove the cat!

We had our Truth Treasure Hunters group on Monday. We had a time for making the Hindenburg blimp, watching the Myth Busters try to recreate the disaster, as well as a time to share what the kids have been working on. There were a lot of great projects shown. Caleb is showing the Hindenburg that he drew. Addy is also showing her drawing of the Hindenburg. Kaity is showing her penguin that she made.

Here is what the kids ended up going as for Halloween. Addy is a cat. In the earlier post she was Shirley Temple. Kaity is Tinker Bell. In the early post she was Anastasia youngest daughter of Czar Nicolas II. Caleb is the Hunch Back of Notre Dame. In the earlier post he was Eric Liddell. We had fun on Halloween night. Our church had a fall festival. Dad painted faces and I handed out candy. The kids went with a friend to some of the other events.
