What did we get ourselves into?????

These are some friends went to a concert with us. We saw some amazing bands, and some really horrible wanna-be rap...YUCK! We had fun with you guys!!!

Our beautiful children have spent much time learning the desires of God's heart over the past few years and have made some personal decisions. Caleb and Addy accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior recently. Instead of doing the traditional church baptism, we decided to baptize them in the lake while we went camping a few weekends ago. It have been a priviledge to watch both of them grow in the Lord and to grasp the concepts of what it means to be a Christian and the sacrifice Christ made on behalf of our sin. The first two pictures are of Addy being baptized, then Caleb the second two pictures.

Camping!

We have had something that has filled almost every weekend this summer. One of our weekends was spent camping with friends. We enjoyed their company greatly. We were also amazed at the seen and unseen wildlife on our camp out. It was a pretty hot evening so going to sleep was not easy. We lay awake and listened to owls talk back and forth. We also were able to see lightening bugs all night long.

The kids have had a busy summer as well! The girls went to visit their Grannies for two weeks. They had a great time playing in the pool, watching movies, going to church, shopping, riding horses, going on a river cruise and visiting a horse show. We have heard MANY tales from their adventure to Texas!!! Caleb stayed with us for a week and then headed out on his own adventure. He spent a week at boy scout camp. This was his first time to go for a week and to go without dad. He came home VERY dark and stinky. We were all glad to be together as a family again. Above are pictures from our ride home. Did you know we had our own venus flytrap?? We also took Cadence with us. This was his first LONG trip. He did surprisingly well!

New floors and new room!

We have been pretty busy this summer with house work!! The first two pictures are of our floors. We have had a hard time getting a great picture of them. These will have to do until you can visit and see them in person. The next two pictures are of our room. Again we are having a hard time with getting the true color to show. The colors are wine and a sage green. I love our new room. It feels like we are on vacation each time we step into our room.
