Helicopters

This week we are studying the Korean War. Helicopters played a big part in this war so this week we made our own paper helicopters. We flew them from the top of the stairs. I wasn't very successful getting a picture of the helicopter in motion.

How we spend our free time!

The big kids had bible quizzing practice, so James and I took Kaity into another room in the church and worked on her reel. James is sitting in the middle of her circle. We are trying to teach her to dance the first part by dancing it around us.

They are Done!!!!

Don't you wish you were here to eat these tasty maps and letters? The chocolate chips are mountain ranges. I think they probably should have been a bit smaller. If you look carefully there are also rivers done in blue icing.

Decorating China Cookes

Here they are decorating their cookies. The cookies puffed up a bit so some of the detail was lost due to that.

Fun with Food!

Caleb made china out of cookie dough! Kaity made A,O,B and D out of cookie dough. Addy made china out of cookie dough! In our history program we are studying China this week. Specifically we are studying China after WWII. More pictures to come.

Big Girl

Kaity started kindergarten on Monday. She is only a few days away from being five years old. Since she has started school, she thinks that she is VERY big. She told me yesterday that she couldn't do cubbies anymore because she was bigger. She also thinks after two days of kindergarten that she can read. She is very upset that I won't give her her reader with a reading assignment. She is getting big so fast.
